U13s & U15s League v New Stars

These matches were tough, but we are very proud of the teams' performance. Our U13s had 2 late drop-outs which took their numbers down to the bone, but did they give up? NO! Our coaches report that despite being a team with no subs at all and facing a smart opposition, our players responded with some great defensive work and a great attitude to the game. Our U15s played with a larger team, but had no goalie available. Did that stop them? NO! We had two volunteers go in goal, and they made an excellent job of it. In fact, maybe they have missed their lacrosse vocation and should take up goalie-ing!

It was a long journey to these matches, and longer back, so thank you to all families for their effort in getting players to them. Thanks to our coaches too, but most of all thank you to our wonderful young athletes.
