Olivia Super6s Hong Kong

Olivia Finnigan plays for Cobham in our Firsts Team, and also represents Durham University Women's Lacrosse in BUCS. Olivia travelled to Hong Kong in December 2023 to represent Team China in an international sixes competition. Here is her report, and we know that for many members, interest in sixes lacrosse is growing! We ourselves have sixes pitches marked and hope to grow the game here at Cobham too. Here's Olivia -

"Representing Team China at the HK Super Sixes was an incredible experience. We knew our first match vs GB would be tough, but we fought hard and achieved the best score in the tournament against the eventual gold medal winners, conceding 11-19. Next, we faced Hong Kong 1s in a must-win match. We won convincingly 16-8, placing us second in the group and into the semi-final vs Germany. Disappointingly we narrowly missed out on the win conceding 11-10, but it was an exciting game with a nail biting final few seconds. The bronze match vs Czechia saw us beat this established European team 17-10 with the strong win securing us third place and the bronze medal."
